Weight Loss Surgery Horror Stories
23 Aug, 2016

I am sometimes surprised by the number of negative articles and tales of horror about weight loss surgery that can be found on the internet. I accept there is a point to some of the articles published relating to loose skin following surgery or youngsters as old as 13 being operated upon, however there are clear guidelines set by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence in the UK which surgeons should adhere to. There is no doubt that surgery is not without its risks and therefore each individual has to have a comprehensive consultation outlining the benefits and risks as well as the most suitable surgical intervention. Always remember to allow plenty of time to make a decision following your consultation which should never be rushed and seek as much information as possible before going under the knife.
